Saturday Aaron and I went to see Fireproof with our friends Rebekah and Philip. It was really, really good! Even Aaron, who is usually pretty indifferent about things, said "wow, that was a great movie!" I think it really touched both of us.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It's a Christian based movie that essentially revolves around the "Love Dare," a 40 day challenge to learn to love your spouse in a Godly way. I cried my way through the movie. It deals with a lot of subjects that couples face in today's world, and really keeps the focus on Christ. At times, it was a bit cheesy, but that's ok.
When Aaron gets home this weekend, we're starting the Dare and I couldn't be more excited. We have a wonderful, Christ-centered marriage, but have our struggles and challenges just like any couple. We have a lot to learn, so here goes! Check back in 50 days or so to hear the results :)

Gabe is two months old today! Guess how he celebrated his birthday... shots. It was the saddest thing ever. When the first shot when into his cute little thigh, he screamed but then held his breath. He turned PURPLE!! I was freaking out. The nurses say some babies do that, and that he really didn't do it for too long, but to watch him when he starts walking. I guess some kids do it up to 5 years old. So, if he starts screaming or crying, he could pass out! How scary is that?! Anyway, he had two additional shots and was not happy :( As soon as I picked him up, he stopped crying, but I almost started crying because of his tears. Oh my... I love this little boy, it's so hard to see him hurting... even if it is for his good!
He weighed 10 lbs 9 oz and was 22 inches long. In two months he has gained 4 lbs 7 oz and grown 3 1/2 inches. Yay for healthy babies! He's at the 25th percentile for both. (At least he's evened out... at 6 weeks, he was in the 25th percent for weight and 13th for length. I joked with Aaron that he was turning into a circle!)
The rest of the day he's been crying in his sleep and when he's awake. It is pitiful! Thank goodness for Tylenol and a pacifier that he likes and can actually keep in his little mouth!

I guess I spoke too soon! Gabe's been up every.other.hour the past two nights. He's 8 weeks old today, I assumed he'd be sleeping longer by now!
Suggestions or tips anyone? I'm beat!!
What I WISH we were doing :(
I had so much fun today! I was at the mall, just to walk really, and decided to do a makeover at MAC. I've wanted to get some of their stuff for a while, just didn't know where to start. So, I spent an hour getting all done up! She started with your basic day makeup and made it into the "smokey eye" night look. Aaron was shocked when I got home!
We got our BumGenius diapers this week! We are so happy with them. Today we ordered 18 more, so we will have 20 total!
They make Gabe's butt a little bigger, but not too bad... plus he's so cute in them!! :) I really think he likes them better as well. I don't blame him though- I probably would like them better than paper underwear! They are super soft, easy to clean, and really absorbant. What more could we want?
Also this week, I got a hair cut for the first time since MARCH when it got butchered in New Orleans! It was so nice to get away for an hour or two (as much as I love my boys, I needed some "me" time!) I like the cut a lot- it's cute and REALLY quick to do. Of course it doesn't look as good as it did when I got it done and styled, but it's still nicer than it was before. I guess I just got my first "mom cut!" 
Speaking of moms, thanks to Mom & Dad for my new straightener (Merry Christmas to me! haha!) I love it!
Aaron has work off tomorrow and Tuesday, so it will be nice to have some time together. We are trying to plan a trip to the Pagosa Springs hot springs resort sometime soon! It's a four hour drive there, but it will be so worth it. We've never been to hot springs before, and this place has 18 pools. Fun!

Gabe is finally sleeping for 5 hour stretches at night instead of 2!! YAY!!! It makes a HUGE difference in how I feel!! :)
Poor Gabe got called back to the doctor today to get another catheter and urine catch. I guess his last one grew a bacteria that would signal a gastrointestinal infection, but since he seems to be doing fine, they think it just got contaminated with some of his poo (he wouldn't pee in the catheter, so they taped a bag to him to catch it.) To be sure though, the doc wanted to do another sample. Well, once again, he wouldn't pee in the catheter (sooo sad to see him have one, but he did great! Only cried at the end. Me on the other hand... that's a different story! I was dying!) The nurse was pushing on his stomach, and he exploded with poo EVERYWHERE (and I mean EVERYWHERE!!) but still wouldn't pee. Once she took the catheter out, of course he went... but she was ready with a cup. I'm not convinced this one won't be contaminated too, though, since he had poop ALL OVER! I guess we'll find out soon.
In better news... he's now smiling and babbling! It's so awesome. Aaron gets so mad because he has really only smiles at me, but I told him that's just because Gabe knows he's stuck at home with me all day, so if he doesn't smile I'll keep bugging him, whereas Aaron will go to work and leave him alone! haha! He's growing up so fast!
